Margaret Dittman Memorial Education Grant

The Margaret Dittman Memorial Education Grant was established by her husband, Mr. Gene Dittman, to  assist graduates of West Iron County High School of good character and in financial need to continue their education. The Dittmans recognized that the rising cost of higher education has made it more difficult for individuals of modest means to advance and complete their education. Through their generosity, this grant will be offered biannually.

The West Iron County Education Foundation will be accepting applications for the fall 2012  semester for this unique grant opportunity. Interested individuals must keep checking back to find out when to apply. Only completed applications postmarked by the deadline date will be considered.  The grant is awarded for the fall 2012 semester only.  The number of grant recipients and the award amount will be determined by the grant review committee. The average given is $10,000 a year.

The recipients of the grant will be posted on this website and the names of the recipients released to local media for publication. The Foundation will only notify the applicants selected for the grant award.
